Streaming Live on our Website

Since we added streaming to our website we have had reports of people listening to our station from England, USA and around Australia. If you are listening now through the internet we would love to hear from you.

  1. Keith from Sydney phoned to say he was thrilled to be able to hear the station on the internet. He listened to the station when he was on holidays on the Gold Coast and found us on the internet

  2. Guys I have to ask why 22khz sample rate at 64 Kbits? I suggest swapping to mono and changing to 44100khz sample rate. Player compatability should also be better as not all players like the weird sample rates!

Aac+ is great at 64Kbits it works 110% in stereo at 44100khz sample rate. But player compatablity will suffer a bit not all players support it even now.

    Good work carry on

  3. I'd suggest AAC with 64 kbit 44100khz sample rate as Peter says.

You can put a link for a codec download for those that still use media player.

    Keep up the great stuff.

For those who remember me all is well here in the Hunter Valley.

  4. Not a lot of activity going on on this blog Andrew. What a shame that people don't get involved here whilst 600 million are wasting their time on Facebook. Ah well... maybe this is a bit to intelligent for them. Happy Easter by the way.

  5. Hey there,

    sorry about the slow reply.

I think more people just need to talk about it and get the blog up and running.

Agree with what you said about full page colour adverts in the bulletin.

    Happy listening!

  6. My wife and I are on the coast holidaying from Sydney, we think your station presents and plays the best music around and we really enjoy it, we cannot hear this type of music anywhere else, Sydney included. We head north soon and will be listening to 99.1 on the net.
We must say the only thing that really annoys us, is why does 99.1 think we need to be berated with the same news about 4 times or more each hour? We really don't want to hear it, once an hour is surely more than enough?

  7. Hi

I have been listening via live streaming for several months now. I am an Aussie (from Brisbane) living in a small gorgeous coastal town just south of Auckland. You may have heard of it recently, Waiuku. The winning kick for the Rugby World cup came from an All Black from this town!!

So pleased to find this station, not only am I a lover of jazz (is there any other kind of music?), but it's great to keep up with the Australian news, weather and other events.

    Thanks for this great service.
    Annie
